We have to admit, we have been here before without the dudes and thought it was time they try it. What we weren’t expecting was just how much they were into it! The beet pickled deviled eggs were a no brainer – we were lucky we got any ourselves! But they devoured the Maulteschen (hope I spelled that right) and the sausage. They weren’t into my lamb, and I can’t blame them. If you come here get the sausage. My lamb was fine, but I could have just eaten the deviled eggs and sausage for dinner and been in heaven. Then came the Berliners, they used to be jelly-filled but they changed it to a cookie ganache. The boys were in a zone after one bite. Then there was the pretzel bread… For some reason, the dudes were intrigued by the architecture, and were also closely watching the filming of a Grimm outside. So they were enjoying the food and distracted. Win! As far as kid friendly goes, I wouldn’t take kids that aren’t used to waiting for their food any later than 5:30. They were courteous and treated the dudes well, but I got the impression that they don’t get a lot of 6 year olds in there.

Otto and Anita’s – a big hit for the dudes 3rd birthday dinner!

We have a lot of catching up to do now that Aidan and Lowell have started blogging. They went to Otto and Anita’s for their 3rd birthday. Everything was a hit – but most of all the bread, butter and the DILL PICKLE SOUP!!! Oh, and the spaetzle too!
